Jaden's birthday party

 Miss Chloe is enjoying the birthday party circuit!  This was her first party at Chuckee Cheese and she was a little overwhelmed at first.  She ended up having fun on the rides especially with Jaden.

Chloe turned 20 months old this week.  The highlight of my day is a phone call with Chloe.  She acts excited to see me and then usually just scoots away and plays.  She does patty-cake for me and occasionally blows a kiss.

Snow Days!

 The snow arrived early on Thursday and local schools and daycare was closed.  Chloe got to spend two days with her Aunt Amy and cousins.  She had a blast playing with Jaden who is three years old.  It was reported that they played well together and also fought well.  Chloe was seen being pushed by Jaden and her response was to hit him.  She was thrilled to go back on the second day.

Bentley's First Birthday

Bentley turned one and had a party to celebrate!  Chloe enjoyed herself, but wasn't very gracious during the present opening.  When she saw something she liked, she cried MINE!  After some distracting manuevers and good birthday cake she forgot about the gifts.  Happy Birthday to Bentley!

She has added a few more body parts to her list.  She proudly shows off her cheeks and teeth.  However, raising her shirt to show off her belly is her favorite because she gets such a fun reaction from everyone.  On the phone I watched her play on the stairs with a duck and her doll baby bottle,  (She fed the duck.) She leaned on the stair and pushed up on her knees while she was playing.  It was great to see that progress.

Honey visits

Chloe had Honey's special attention all weekend.  They watched cartoons, shopped, and partied!  In a few months Honey's attention will be devoted to her own baby girl, but for this weekend, Chloe was the princess.

She watched the entire game and loved all the excitement (especially the buzzer)!    

Old news that I haven't posted:  Chloe plays possum at daycare.  It was just discovered that Chloe did not talk at daycare, call anyone by name, know any body parts, ask for what she wanted or know any words.  She was very happy and content to play silently by herself.  After some parent-teacher conferencing, Chloe is expected to communicate a litte more at daycare and will be moved out of the baby room for part of the day.

Happy New Year 2011

Chloe spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with Grandad and Granbec!!  She played with toys and did whatever she wanted and had our undivided attention all weekend.  It was just GREAT! She had fun looking through photo albums and surprised us by pointing out people by name.  The first one she spotted was her great grandmother (Mur) who she saw right before Christmas.

Here she is telling Grandad to GO.  They walked (and ran) outside until she told him to GO inside.  Then they raced through the house until they were both tired of it!  Even though we spoil her, she is a sweet girl and is easy to keep.    She's so special and we were just thrilled to have her to ourselves - not that we wouldn't have enjoyed her parents too. 

Technology continues to connect us.  With our iPhones, we face-to-face with her almost daily.  Now, that is a special treat to see her at home miles away in live time.  She talks to us and when she gets bored she just says bye-bye and moves on to something else. 

Happy New Year to all Chloe's friends and family!  Can't wait to see her progress, grow, and thrill us in 2011.
